Scroll down the page for the appropriate graph. A little closer to the observable reality... no?

  3. Yuba City, 30 miles from here, has an official rate of over 20%. I can't imagine what it really is. The farming communities are hit very hard as are the towns built around logging.

  4. At the 101 Cafe the other day, the cook told me the crews are only working two months this year. That's down from an average of eight months over the last three decades. She knows a log truck driver who had to go back to nursing, and couldn't even find a position up to her level of certification. These are working maniacs we're talking about, people who don't even dream of lives of leisure. NOTHING lazy about them.

And WHY are farming communities suffering? That's fucking out of the question! People have NOT stopped needing to eat.

WTF is going on? :madder'n a wet hen:

  5. As for the stats, the page I use, linked at the image, has them running at about always double the official reports because:

"The SGS Alternate Unemployment Rate reflects current unemployment reporting methodology adjusted for SGS-estimated "discouraged workers" defined away during the Clinton Administration added to the existing BLS estimates of level U-6 unemployment."

And that IS about the size of it.

Fuck Clinton. I remember when he did it I almost lit out for Washington to strangle him, and all the fuckers in this entire country have had a fucking field day ever since he made that ONE supposedly minor adjustment.

    Fuck.
