I don't see the point when treaties are not respected by either the United States or Israel. It would seem on its face to be a statesmanlike move on Obama's part, but given that we don't respect other treaties, and not even the NPT, ourselves, it just creeps me out. It seems to me that at best it would be Obama trying to get it looking as though everyone were playing by the same rules, but that's the hitch. It would only LOOK that way, like our ratification of the Geneva Conventions just made it LOOK like we wouldn't torture anyone.

Just not good enough.
