will it clear enough to see the geminids?

I'm looking at the forecast for tomorrow night and it's looking pretty iffy... and darn cold out there in any case... but if it will stay clear for a few hours, it might be worth all the bundling up to go soak some of it in. Nothing like lying on the ground to face the sky for these astronomical events to heal yer aching nerves... puts you back into alignment with the cosmos... or something.

  2. Pretty cloudy here, too, but don't lose heart... there could be clearing in time to see plenty. I think we should be able to start seeing stuff around 9:30 or so... or on into even later... because I'm unclear as to how much time difference there is between Gemini rising on the East Coast and when it rises here......

Just keep looking out to see if there's any clearing and maybe you can catch at least a few minutes of it....

  3. Starts at ten, peaks between midnight and 2 am.
Weather front's headed toward the coast.

  4. Is it dangerous? What if a Geminid lands on me?
