I know Buddhists who think these guys were/are Maitreya... that the return of, or the birth of, "love" was never meant to be seen as just one bodhisattva. I think this must be right, and just one would be too easy a target, where many, not so much, but I wish to heck they would come together and do their stuff! We need it. We need it bad.

Exactly 99....Christ-Maitreya-Mahdi-Krishna etc aren't singular entities...They represent a way of being...a mind set...an evolved thinking that sees the oneness of all things.

It also represents the end of religion...That's why singular evolved beings are eradicated so quickly...but Truth can't be destroyed or snuffed out in the murder of one....
