[click image... not as bad as this one from three days ago in Oklahoma]

We got nailed by a hailstorm of about five minutes in duration. The temperature dropped like a stone right before it and I'm hoping it goes back up again now that it's passed... or... well... I'm hoping it's passed. There was a little girl screaming in the distance a couple minutes ago. She went abruptly silent. Probably just chuffed about getting blasted like that outta nowhere... or slipped into hypothermia.

I had a long comment to post here last night - when I hit the Post button I found that Comcast internet service was down.
ReplyDeleteI called tech support and was on the line with them for nearly an hour as they had me unplug this, turn off that, reboot this, bypass the router, reconfigure my network, as they tried to establish a connection from their end.
Then the guy says - "Oh look, there is a general service outage in your area, started at 9:18.
No shit Shylock - I called you at 9:20!
FUCK!
Still down at home this morning!
Drives me crazy!
ReplyDeleteThis a Hail Storm god must like them.

I was in a hailstorm like the first video once. Back in Stevens Point Wisconsin.
ReplyDeleteWind was blowing about 75mph and large chunks of ice were hitting the street at an angle and shooting along the ground for 50 feet or more.
Softball to grapefruit size. Hundreds of car windshields broken throughout town and major damage to airplanes at the airport. Several injuries to people hit by the hail.
The second video is beautiful!
ReplyDeleteIt seems to have eaten my comment about the bus driver video - but then again, maybe it will pop up when I post this comment...
ReplyDeleteHa!
ReplyDeleteRunning one comment behind again!
Tech wonderfull when it works and Hell when does. The bus driver thing I loved.
