chris landau on the gulf blowout

[click image, audio, mp3, forty minutes]

.

I want to point out that what Chris is saying here basically supports the notion that the cap hasn't capped it. This is really about the most sensible, without any hysteria, perspective you are going to get on the subject. The only thing that's been capped in this blowout is the media.

This interview took place on 20 July and here is his most recent article.

.

Is this ignorance, or whut?

You watch that short video and tell me, please.

.

EXHIBIT A:
An analysis of tests on the well done Thursday was scheduled to be completed within 24 hours, letting the federal government and BP PLC know if work last month that was meant to be temporary had the unexpected effect of permanently plugging the gusher.
And do you think they're photoshopping in those beach combers? Or should I freak?

  1. I'll have to get to your content later, but this morning they were talking of the current cap being permanent and that the relief well capping would not be needed.

    BULLSHIT!

    Go home - show's over...

  2. Some of the cement may have gone down into the reservoir, come back up and plugged the space between the inner piping and the outer casing — which is what engineers were hoping to do with the bottom kill, Allen said.

    Huh?

The heavy cement sank to the bottom of the well then magically became lighter and rose up into the casing?

    BULLSHIT!

  3. I just read in the headlines that they've decided the cap isn't enough.

  4. Really! It's only sorta good at best, considering all the more credible reports we are getting from Landau, and WERE getting from Matt Simmons. It bothers me that Jeff Rense seems to be the only one of note who is trying hard not to drop this story. I'm chuffed that Bill Ryan, a space lizard research popularizer I thought was trying to pull it all into the more sensible zone, decided to swallow the crap at The Oil Drum whole, and bowed out of it. He was very forceful about "debunking" Simmons but has not made a peep about the suiciding of the man... seems to have turned his attention to resuming adventures in phantasm with that barely endurable harpy who quite nearly ruins interviews with interesting people the way Liza Minnelli once did good movies.

Coast to Coast MAY still be on it, but they've clamped down on their stuff hitting YouTube and I can't pay for a subscription and listening for free is GUARANTEED LETHAL migraine time. Worst, worst, worst in terms of length, obnoxiousness and frequency of commercial breaks in the history of radio... bar none.

The MSM has completely abdicated and SO have a lot of the truth-tellers. I'm bummed. Megadeath. This means megadeath.

When did you have to start logging in?

  8. I am beginning to suspect you of being a KAOS DOUBLE AGENT! You do NOT have to log in! I just checked! CONTROL computers are turning on you! Show me yer papers! You don't want to get locked in the Cone of Silence, now do you? How about sharing a stall with DLC? WHO, after all, but a double agent could have known to put out the bean pots at our camp? Hmmm?

    IGNORANCE INDEED!

  15. We don't know any of that because they're using the old "proprietary information" shtick on us, AND the government wants us ignorant as badly as BP does! Landau might be the only one left standing who is trying to get this stuff opened up to the public.

  16. It, of course, was a purely rhetorical question...

We know damn well the cover-up goes on because no one wants to stop it. No demand for the drill muds, no demand to meter the leak - that could have easily been done once they put the last cap on, no demand for logs of the current operation, just go blindly on with no accountability.
