you'd think this would mean arresting a lot of government officials

Past and present.

It doesn't mean that.

4PM, PDT: I'm going analog for a few hours, going walkabout, later, dudes.

.

MIDNIGHT: Well, I didn't mean to be insulting about it or nuthin'... sheesh. I think everyone from all Blogistan was out on Highway 101 today, driving like jackasses.... Doesn't look as though they've been here.

So. Fine. I'll go to be so I can be up early enough to go see Poppa.

  2. It was smooth with Goldie, but the pinheaded motorists were out in force. APPALLING.

  3. There's a stretch of hwy 101 between Petaluma and Santa Rosa that is nothing but skid marks all over the pavement. Spinouts and long skids with abrupt directional changes where they hit something. Fortunately I only travel it a couple times a year, typically on the weekends when it is more sane.

Here I travel to and from work in the opposite direction of the masses - easy in the morning, heavier in the afternoon, but nothing like the parking lot on the other side.

  4. Highway 101 between Novato and Windsor should just be called Suicide Alley. I always breathe a sigh of relief if I get through without seeing even one accident. I've seen cars ablaze, a hundred feet off the highway or right next to it, upside down. Sometimes its so bad it takes an hour to go a mile. You only ever want to try it when it's nowhere like commute time. 86 and I would take Highway One down to the Bay Area from Mendo World to avoid 101, even though it added two or three hours to the trip. It saved us from taking X number of years off our lives.
