Media at it full time to mindfuck Americans more:
OBAMA DEMANDS CHANGE AS MUBARAK MEETS ARMY

The United States led an international push on Sunday to force President Hosni Mubarak to yield to Egyptians' demands for democracy. But there was little sign the army was about to end his 30-year rule — just yet.

Egyptian diplomat Mohamed ElBaradei, claiming a mandate from disparate opposition groups to negotiate a handover of power with the military, called on Washington to "cut off life support to the dictator." Six days of unrest has killed more than 100 people, rocked the Middle East and rattled global investors.

But President Barack Obama and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, along with European leaders, stopped short of urging the immediate departure of the 82-year-old Mubarak ...
I do not see HOW that headline goes with that piece, and neither do you, but you will almost certainly ONLY read the headline. Right? I'm right. And even if you might skim a paragraph or two, for dignity's sake, your brain is only retaining the gist, the headline.

In English: Obama is hoping to keep Mubarak and LOOK as though he wants the best for all those huddled masses....

But doubt not he's at it full time finding a suitable way to help fuck them when Mubarak goes down. He's good at this.

[I have not left off worrying that ElBaradei is the fuckers' man... that the failure of the people to warm to him enough is what's dragging this out. I have no proof. I have to keep peering into Opposite World to try to keep a level head... just like everyone else... so... but... well... I don't feel good about the ElBaradei notion for some reason... not that I have Thing One to say about it....]

I'll probably pile up more bulletins under this post tonight....

.

Guy was just on al Jazeera, yelling for the United States not to try to "pull a Pinochet"... amen, brother.

.

Yer in luck, for the duration, I think, because Dish Network and DirecTV are temporarily allowing subscribers to access al Jazeera. — channel 9410 on Dish Network and 375 on DirecTV... and, maybe I should remind you again, it's kind of handy in these global emergencies to have LiveStation installed on yer computer.

.

For all my capitalist friends, I'm sorry the market's down, but look at it this way: cotton prices are going through the roof....

.

Ya know, this crossed my mind, too, but then crossed right back out....

  1. Obama wants to be able to say, "I supported you." no matter who ends up running Egypt. They buy a lot of military shit. If he loses them as a client it would displease his masters.

  2. Well, if it were only military shit, he would do well to prop up the revolution because if they don't put someone in there of whom Netanyahu approves, the profits on military hardware will go immediately through the roof.

  4. to force President Hosni Mubarak to yield to Egyptians' demands for democracy.

That sentence says it all in my opinion...

No call for Mubarak to leave and good old democracy to trump it!

  5. I think I have LiveStation installed because of something you pointed out some time ago. It's quite excellent.

I also follow @sharifkouddous on Twitter and democracynow.org.

My only regret is that now that he has a bazillion followers he probably won't be able to reply to my @ tweets. It's a small price to pay for his excellent work though ;-)

    Peace and love,

I'm also worried that I could dislike that guy, albeit on some strange principle others can't be expected to share, and you could like him that much. How odd. How odd. How ODD. But, dear, TwitFace will suck yer brain out! come back!

  9. When Obomber says "change" what he means is the same old shit, just moreso - that's change you can really feel when it kicks you in the ass, harder than ever. Life is nice in Europe, by the way...

  10. You totally suck as a fiancee! You are just teasing me, stringing me along, enjoying my abjection! But, notwithstanding your failings as a paramour, I am glad you are having a nice life in Europe. It's good to know not everything has turned to shit..... ;o]
