  1. Oh god...

I have to go get younger daughter from her new job right now...

Can't wait to get home to watch this! Looks like fun!

  2. Teeth-droppingly fun. Holy bat guano. Alex just went on and shocked the shit outta the gals. Toadally, toadally bulldozed through their obfuscating bullcrap. It rocked.

Probably didn't help Charlie any, but it was great.

The ONE notion that bodes well is that they asked him on at all. I'm sure they thought he'd be so humbled by an MSM appearance that he wouldn't rock too many boats, but MAYBE they did it precisely to help without looking like they were trying to do it.... I mean, Whoopie can't have sold out THAT hard, can she?

  4. Baba Wawa I don't believe is constitutionally able to lay one that big and live through it... part of why I have a vague suspicion it was fake... and Whoopie changing her spots after all this time? Fishy.

  5. I say some things a while back that changed my thoughts on Whoopie, however I can't recall what they were. I think dissing 9/11 truthers was part of it.

  6. That usually does it for most people.

But I can't see any way to function truthfully while holding that against people. I'm squarely in agreement about it showing a bad character flaw, but I'm also aware that humans, even really, really good ones, just cannot always do the right thing when everything they've worked for or stood for threatens to evaporate on them if they do not take this despicable stance. I know I'm usually really harsh on people about this sort of thing, but I'm actually cognizant that everyone must choose for themselves and I don't have the right to look down on them when they may have made the odious-to-me choice based on a personal assessment of the balance of how much good they can do vs. how much good they could not do if they got real.

Maybe Whoopie has just settled for being a mainstream icon, a mainstream black woman, and is calling it good. That was a MAJOR accomplishment... not, mind you, anything as beautiful as, say, Cynthia McKinney's... but look where Cynthia is now. That might have everything to do with Whoopie dissing 9/11 Truthers.

Unfortunately, getting to be mainstream is NOT the mark of distinction almost everyone has been made to believe it is. Lethal delusion. Lethal delusion. It's going literally to kill us all.
