Not identify with the concept of open-mindedness. Actually open it. This is a trap into which everyone falls, but it's the worse in liberals. They're so sure they are at the cutting edge, so used to disparaging the stupidity of their less progressive fellows, that they are the easiest prey for mindfuckers. This well and truly IS "the age of manipulation" and easy as it is for you to see the manipulation of others, you're blind to its operation on you.

And, DON'T flatter yourself that your scrupulous attention to what's going on in the world, and alternative news and information sources is helping you... except insofar as it helps you realize you are, we are, hypnotized, and wheresoever one might be closer to thinking for oneself, one is bombarded with so many disorienting inputs as to render one utterly harmless... utterly harmless to the sociopaths at the helm, that is.

I'm unhappy about the mobs attracted to doomsaying, and they've made it so awful that merely straight reporting amounts to doomsaying. ANYBODY would conclude that all this taken together spells doom... D-O-O-M. They've made it so our greater sense tells us to heed Alex Jones, but it STILL, despite his constant reminders to think for ourselves, never gets us to think for ourselves.

Don't you GET it? Everything they made you memorize in school, all those test answers requisite to a passing grade, was training you NEVER to think for yourself. What you call thinking for yourself is LUDICROUS. FUCK your murderating little ego. I love you and I'm giving it to you straight. WHAT YOU CALL THINKING FOR YOURSELF IS LUDICROUS. Only calling it that doesn't make it SO. It's so ingrained and you've been doing it so long that not even millions of people perishing horribly drops the scales from your eyes. You think reminding everyone of it IS awake and aware. You are wrong. That, too, is only what you call it... OR IT WOULD NOT HAPPEN.

You're scratching your head over 99 nutting up on the pushbutton revolutions and geopolitical chess and wars and... turning her attention to all those alternative scholars who populate the halls of Out There... probably just her California Bliss Ninny roots taking over in her meltdown... right? I'm not doing it to contribute uniquely to your continued identification politics, which is to say your doom. I maintain that we have no real way of knowing, but it helps to understand the motivation of people who are fighting all the clean freak elite tooth and nail. Knowing as I do that "they" do this nefarious stuff to keep us hypnotized and enslaved, I can't even accuse Alex of paranoia.

Just remember that it's mooted as a mind game only when you stop playing.

And there is NO cost to stopping because we are NOT doing what it would take anyway. Not only are we not doing it, but there is NO way to begin doing it so long as the status quo holds sway. So do yourself and your brothers and sisters a favor. Quit playing.

I particularly liked this interview because, among many other timely and important things about which they speak, Alex Jones manages to express clearly why he's being such a jackass about our environmental emergency. Seems he's not really a jackass about it; it just sounds that way if you don't look into the kernel of it. They also express my sentiment about the Obama presidency; to wit: that he's probably a decent guy who would like to do good things, but is too frightened. Again the CIA is mentioned as part of this fear. So, again, I want to warn you that you should not let your knee jerk up and bash your chin so hard it breaks your teeth whenever Alex Jones is mentioned. Yes, he's a maniac. He is also brilliant. He is also dedicated to truth. He admits his errors. He's a patriot and a lover of humanity. So, it doesn't make you any kind of weird to pay attention to what he says. You have a brain, do you not? You can use it for critical thinking, can you not? So don't be a jackass about Alex Jones. This is a good interview.

On a related note, Nancy Youssef tells Bill Moyers about the atmosphere inside the Pentagon... that you don't feel the war even there... it's just business, contracts [letters of marque] being hammered out and signed... no sense of the gravity of this stuff. Just makes Perkins' and Jones' and John Cusacks' [War, Inc.] points come into even better focus.

You need to think critically while listening to these guys, but they both know a lot of stuff you might also want to know, so it's worth the work to separate the wildly paranoid speculation from the extremely salient information.

I know he's a Republican, but he's carried it entirely too far, and I finally know why I keep running up against Truthers who hate Al Gore.
