today in flaccid social critique

And, darn well-fed flaccid social critique. The first couple minutes have bad sound quality, but it gets listenable. I immediately notice Hedges hedging on the question of just who makes up these liberal institutions about which he gripes, holds up Nader and Kucinich and Chomsky, but goes off pontificating about not having real lefties keeping the liberals honest. I have not snapped it off in disgust yet because his sententious tone and demeanor are in low gear and maybe it's okay audio for getting in bed.

Or. I may yet have to leap out of the sack and smack him... or his interlocutor... but so far, so so.
