People at other sites are getting upset with Dennis because he's not doing the New Hampshire recount right, especially not keeping after the chain-of-custody thing. We're so tired of all the disappointments, all the moments when it looks as if something actually American is going to prevail and then our hopes being dashed. I just wrote this in an email to a friend:
Dennis was Mayor at 23, after growing up with nothing, in a family spending all its time scrambling for the basics. No real world experience at all before getting directly into government. He is a good administrator, but he is not a good fighter. He's flakey as hell nowadays because his priority is his new thirty-years-younger-than-him wife. He doesn't get enough protein eating beansprouts with carrot sauce, and neither does she. Between them, this "campaign" is darn spotty. He's in it to talk issues, but the cigar-smoking old boys (and girls) are sick of that shit, and in order to stay speaking the issues he has to pretend he really wants to be president... and he has to withstand all the insults about his size and his wussiness... beside all the intense supporters being crestfallen if he doesn't give it his all. He has to do all kinds of shit this time to stay seeming viable that no one ever had to do before... and all he really wants is to just go off to some tropical isle with his young thang and let the world go by.

We had enough warning in 2004 to have been ready behind all the little candidates to get kick-ass perfect recounts, and we didn't do it. We jumped in like lightning, but, obviously, that doesn't cut it. Dennis did not get a serious campaign team together because he's not serious and didn't see the need to have power hitters working for him. That's what he would need to grok all the imperatives that fast, and, well... he didn't have it. HE SHOULD NOT HAVE TO HAVE HAD IT. We gotta remember he and the other guy on the Republican side have been thrust into this election integrity hero shit COMPLETELY UNFAIRLY.

The NH SoS should have been on it instanter... on the people of NH's behalf. Clinton and Obama should have been hollering to check the integrity of that result. The reason we have officeholders in charge of this shit is precisely to guard against hanky-panky and now they ARE the hanky-panky!

We have to face that the plutocrats have come up with the infallible way to game the system and there IS no way to turn it around without masses of citizens MAKING it turn around by dint of the threat of sheer force, if not sheer force itself.
Or is there some other really creative way to get America back? If so, we better get on it.

[Ya know, sometimes I think I swear too much....]

happy birthday most beautiful hero

Don't listen to those poseurs invoking your name to get elected. Feel the intent of those of us who really love you and know from the clouds and the blades of grass that our dream is yours.

It may be cold to tack this on as an update, but it is what it is. And, actually, what it is is a way to make this post without upsetting Agent BB2 when he opens this page. He can't take getting smacked in the face with Clinton, and this way he has a moment to gird himself before the fateful frightful sight.

Click this picture of our candidate harpies:See what I mean? I'm gonna hate having either of these for president.

This picture would, of course, be from back when he was the right age for his new wife....

I'm not endorsing Kucinich for president because I don't believe he wants to be president, but I endorse him wholeheartedly as a fellow American, and maybe this little flashback will help us while considering whether Hillary would be above rigging the vote:

oh, yippee!

Guatemala has a new president and he's a leftie! This is a very hopeful trend in Latin America. I hope it keeps up, and if we are going to be overtaken by immigrants that they bring these leaders with them. This plutocracy shit is for the birds, and I do not know what I'm doing here. No, really. Think about it! When The Great Orange Satan is what we have passing for liberal, let alone progressive, you really have to see that we are in big trouble.

Pfeh. Well, I guess he would.

Okay, so I moved this up from 11:23am because I added a bunch of links you might not want to miss.

Here's a long article about Hatfill and the anthrax attacks from 2003 for those of you who want to get to know about this more.

Sander Hicks says:
Hauer is [a] biological terrorism expert whose resume includes time at Science Applications International Corp (SAIC), a military contractor doing work in nuclear issues and psy-ops, and Bioport, manufacturer of the controversial anthrax vaccine.

Jerry Hauer and anthrax go way back. In May of 1998, he spoke at the Council on Foreign Relations on the topic of "Building a 'Biobomb': Terrorist Challenge." That evening Hauer co-presented on the topic
[with] Steven Hatfill. Yes, that Steven Hatfill, the one who later became the FBI’s prime suspect in the anthrax mailings. A year after their CFR presentations, Hatfill and Hauer would become coworkers at SAIC's Center for Counterterrorism Technology and Analysis.

Audio of Hicks interviewing Hauer....

Jerry nailed it... except for the overuse of the "nut jobs" stuff....

I particularly admire how he continually referred to Hatfill as "Hatfield". Sharp.

I highly recommend you read this recent New Yorker piece about Paul Watson. In it you will find a detailed accounting of one of Watson's "run-ins" with the Japanese "scientific" fleet in the Antarctic.

It'll give you an idea of just how significant it is that Greenpeace has finally found this pernicious needle in that haystack.

dig it, people, this is america
