this progressives impeding justice thing really gets on my nerves

My first take on this piece was to be reminded of my suspicions that men are beset by PMS sometimes, and it reminded me of the time, years ago, that Jeffrey St. Clair went postal on Bonnie Raitt for performing at a benefit that benefitted some organization that was tangentially related to a second cousin thrice removed of a grody corporation that secretly profited by pooping in baby food. I had to beat him over the head with a sledge hammer to remind him that Ms. Raitt is an entertainer and if he expects her to vet every charity that scrupulously he better volunteer.

Honestly, so many seriously intelligent men get stuck in a hall of mirrors with their lamentably all-too-male egos and it's hell fishing them back out... actually, usually impossible. So this was my first take on Raimondo's thing here, but I skimmed down to the end where he makes some cogent points about the failures on both the right and the left, so I went back up and skimmed it harder.

I don't know if all that gossipy stuff about Cryptome vs. Wikileaks is called for, and I'm pretty sure he's being grossly unfair to Stephen Colbert—not having seen his show in a long time, I can't say for certain—but it is a major service to mankind that he points out that some of our most respected bastions of progressivism are fucking us up. I'm sick of the old herding cats meme about liberals. That's just a cute excuse for being lethally self-regarding and incompetent. So I think you should take a look here.

  1. People who didn't object to XYZ by Bush now object to XYZ by Obama, and vice versa. Idiots all, clinging to the illusion there's a difference between the Dems and the Reps.
