wonder if it will clear up enough

.

For me to get in my go-cart from the eighth dimension to find a place to watch the fullest possible moonrise tonight....

I could maybe carry out my threat to make my cd and learn how to make it play in my go-cart before it's too late to accomplish such a feat...?

.

Naw. I just checked and there's no hope.

I hope wherever you are you are out there gaping at this moon tonight. Kiss it for me.

  2. No. I just checked for here, too, and it's 100% rain tonight. I don't think I can get up over the top of it in time.

  3. Oh how comforting...

Currently both the American and Sacramento rivers are at or within a foot of warning stage. Local creeks are at warning stage with some local flooding. Flood gates at Del Paso Blvd have been closed. Discovery park is under water as are buildings inside of the Sacramento river levees. A flood warning is currently in effect, the weirs are dumping into Yolo Bypass, reservoirs are full above their flood control level.

I turned on The Weather Channel to check the forecast...

3"+ rain predicted within the next 24 hours!

After the weather report a program came on:
"It Could Happen" - Levee failure - Massive flood in Sacramento.

  5. My readings are slightly less than the ones you have posted at the link down page.

  6. Survived the wind, only small branches down. We parked our cars around the corner for fear of larger branches falling but everything rode out the storm well.

One gust, around midnight, must have been well over the 60mph gust they got at the airport. The whole house shook and groaned and the wind through the trees sounded like a jet engine.

  7. Guess we lucked out here. Just thick cloud cover. Hardly any more rain. No high winds. Peaceful.
