i think farrell and sarfatti should speak

Sarfatti, as you will have seen the other night, seems to think classical physics can get there, but he's a hippie, so... I think he should get together with Farrell and hash it out.

You realize, of course, that if what Farrell is telling us is even partly true, and there are many reasons to think so—very many—all this horrific damage they are doing to us with oil drilling and blowing shit up to extract coal has been about killing off most of the population, letting earth take a few million years to recover herself, and basking on some other paradise in the interim....

the eternal, the incomparable, the beautiful farrakhan

My hands are stinging from slapping my desk. I think my contacts may have floated away. I love this guy to itty bitty bits. He's a thousand times more man than our president could hope to become if he lived for a thousand years.

[He was singing it fifteen years ago, this that so many of us are screaming at the tops of our lungs now... before that. You wonder why they are so careful to smear men like this every time they open their mouths? BECAUSE THEY ARE TELLING THE TRUTH.]

Don't you think this might make young people feel warmly enough toward me to want to hang out at my blog? I think I look like a darn geeky twenty-six-year-old here, don't you? Like a mole woman who has just emerged from her tunnel and can't believe her almost totally blind eyes....

I may have been this disinclined to blog all day because we're having to sue the president to prevent him murdering someone in cold blood... an American someone, because, of course, because he can murder as many foreigners as he likes and we will all go about our business as though nothing at all is wrong with that sociopathological murderating fuck.

I'm also being a fucking pansy about this bit with Billy and my pleasingly-ferocious goofy image. I'm too goddam serious. I take everything to heart. I think my beloved old friend has accidentally tripped over some dharma to impart, and am all giddy about the karma of it, feeling very warmly toward him for making no bones about his hatred of that image, trying to plot out a way to take the buddhas of the ten directions' advice... and then, and then... and then it turns out that he was saying all that as a setup to allow him to email me endless images of horse-faced babes with fake tits, fake buns, shaved twats and idiotic postures. I should have known. He's telling me I gotta get with it, understand that THIS is how the young people are doing it these days. Goes to show you how with it he is! He's ten years older than I am and the ONLY young people he sees are these poor little slutty things out there begging—debauching themselves avidly—for their big break.

Times are hard.

It is to be expected.

But I don't expect men over, say, thirty to be interested in that crap. Silly me. I know. But I really seriously don't. Can't help it. I go on about wanting my wealthy socialist gentleman, and you are already positive I need one of those REALLY badly, and in fact I really do miss having man energy in my proximity, someone who can lift things, someone with a deep voice... but the problem with that is that you have to endure puerile shit like this. I know it's some sort of imperative of the DNA and men are not wired for nuance and c'est la vie type of thing, get used to it, but I can't get used to it. It's too stupid. It's too caveman. No! That's the wrong term. Cavemen are groovy, courageous, serious, THERE for you. It's too second grade.

And they fart. And they breathe entirely too audibly. And if they're not total slobs who need a maid running around after them, then they are prone to going brain dead at regular intervals for sports. I can't stand effete liberal men. I want to brutalize them for drill and for the cosmos. I want a left libertarian with a monster IQ and that deep voice. I want what I always wanted: a genius logger. I had him. He ROCKED. He was perfect... except... except he lost to the booze. Dammit.

Oh, well.

.

I could hang just fine with the insane part. I have always been a magnet for barking mad people—the right kind of barking mad, I might add—because if you can live in this world and act "normal" something is irredeemably wrong with you. I can't hang with that. Madmen are responding to reality appropriately.

Don't you forget it.

But don't you use it as an excuse.

Take responsibility for it. Get down to the love. Tell the truth. Be a true human or you're worse than the rest.

.

I suppose I should be proud or pleased or grateful or at least amused that Billy turns to me whenever he's feeling particularly frisky behind ogling all these surgically "enhanced" sex toys that breathe, but, well, it's depressing, ruins the sublimity of interpersonal relations, always makes me start hearing despair out there wailing on the headlands for my attention. I race past it naked frequently on my way to screaming off my cliff, and pay it no mind, as though it were not there, but this stuff makes me hear it. I have not yet donned my THE END IS SO NIGH sandwich board, but I don't like hearing that creep out there, seeking to render me comatose.

Don't you think? I mean, couldn't people just step back and take a gander at the stuff these guys do and say, "They gotta go. Now. Not when their terms expire."? Honestly, we get stuff in our heads and we just never revisit it to ask ourselves if it still applies, if what usually applies might in certain instances not apply, we don't examine stuff closely enough and we do not step back from it to see it entire either. It's as though we've already got the chips implanted.

Obviously, this document is not well translated, but gives the general impression that giving an interview to al Jazeera can be extremely hazardous to one's health. It could as easily be a ploy to discredit the Qatari news organization, but I'm bringing it up because I have repeatedly found myself a tad vexed by the suddenly awfully America-friendly and Israel-neutral tone of the place. It is my main general news site and since it became more operative and user-friendly for the United States, it also seems not to be anywhere near so keen on giving things from a Muslim perspective, which I felt was one of its finer attributes. Beside being almost without exception nearer to the truth, it was immense help in balancing the fascistic blather coming out of our media outlets. I'm not so sure anymore.

They are still about the best news outlet we have... though RT is catching up.

Maybe corporate headquarters just decided it's more profitable to aggravate Christians and Jews less. Or maybe we don't even know who in Qatar is in charge anymore. Or maybe too many of their reporters and offices were getting bombed by American troops. Or maybe their operation has become so huge and their employees so diverse that the frickin' ISI/CIA/MI-6/Mossad/anybody axis can get their moles in there to track down whomever. Or not. I don't know, but I'm bothered enough, uneasy enough, to mention this.

As for Abdelmalik Rigi, of Jundullah fame, I barely believe he was a terrorist/drug dealer who was coöpted by the United States. More like he was flat out installed by the United States to start his enterprise. If you hunt around in my Jundullah label, I think there are some whiffs of him being entirely too near JSOC/Blackwater installations recently and I won't be remotely surprised if he somehow manages a fantastic escape from Iranian custody. Even if they keep him and try him and hang him, it will only be because the Iranians are much less corruptible than the Pakistanis. At the rock bottom bare minimum he and his group have been supported by United States taxpayers for at least three, but probably six, years. This has been reported by both ABC and The New Yorker, and so there is NO doubt about that much.

I mean, Brian Ross, alone, reporting it, would mean Fudd wanted to brag to Tehran that he was murdering their people, but SEYMOUR HERSH reporting it means somebody who knows for certain about this stuff isn't at all happy about it and wants it to stop... for all the good THAT does them.

I'd say either Iranian intelligence really got their act together to nab him, or someone in the ISI is bloody furious with the United States and tipped them to get even with us. I don't know if al Jazeera had ANY connection to it, but here we have a convergence of two items that have been bugging me for quite a while. So I bring it up for you to file in your Big Maybes folder....

we couldn't stop them from murdering him

... but we can damn well stop them from assassinating him all over again.

They are doing this because historians and investigative reporters have made strides in figuring out who killed him, what really came down on that darkest of days for all humanity, and they NEED to help enough people be ready to let it go all over again. You KNOW I'm right. What will you do to prevent this?

'just trust us' about cia/blackwater assassination teams

[click image, today's Democracy Now! mp3, one hour]

Scahill's appearance by itself is here and here... but the whole show today covers a lot of currently hot issues... including healthcare reform....

So. Did Jarrett mean, just trust us to throw Blackwater under the bus for the crimes of the last administration? Or did she simply mean that Obama would be more careful about using them? Is this what Holder meant when he told David Swanson he'd be proud of his country when Swanson was questioning him about prosecutions for war crimes at a congressional hearing? WTF is going on here? Do you approve?

I DON'T! When I heard Golda Meir sent assassins against people viewed as enemies, I lost every drop of social conditioning to love and admire her. WHAT THE HELL CAN CAUSE US TO NATTER ABOUT 'RULE OF LAW' WHEN WE ARE DOING THIS ACTIVE FORM OF EXTRA-JUDICIAL KILLING?

I advise listening to Scahill's interview here very carefully and more than once. This is outrageous news.

[You should really listen to the whole show, though, to listen to Obama's BIG SMUG LIES about our position on the Honduran coup... since it has become abundantly clear that he is responsible for it.]

hersh could settle a lot of questions

...but seems to be resisting all temptation, pending a publication date for a book, I suppose, but this is irking the snot out of me. Why do we have to keep dancing around every damn issue? Why is Congressional oversight suddenly so difficult to assert, let alone carry out? This is pure hogwash, from start to finish. It's just this massive approach to wearing out anyone not too stupid or too drowsy to want some action on this stuff.

WHEN do we get action? NEVER. It's ridiculously simple to deal with tyrants, once Rule of Law has broken down, and Rule of Law has broken down, since it is not being asserted against confessed perpetrators of the most heinous felonies, but nobody seems to have the gonads to tackle the problem. See: Robespierre....

Obama’s Animal Farm: Bigger, Bloodier Wars Equal Peace and Justice

“The Deltas are psychos… You have to be a certified psychopath to join the Delta Force…”, a US Army colonel from Fort Bragg once told me back in the 1980’s.

05.17.2009

Now President Obama has elevated the most notorious of the psychopaths, General Stanley McChrystal, to head the US and NATO military command in Afghanistan. McChrystal’s rise to leadership is marked by his central role in directing special operations teams engaged in extrajudicial assassinations, systematic torture, bombing of civilian communities and search and destroy missions. He is the very embodiment of the brutality and gore that accompanies military-driven empire building. Between September 2003 and August 2008, McChrystal directed the Pentagon’s Joint Special Operations (JSO) Command which operates special teams in overseas assassinations.

The point of the ‘Special Operations’ teams (SOT) is that they do not distinguish between civilian and military oppositions, between activists and their sympathizers and the armed resistance. The SOT specialize in establishing death squads and recruiting and training paramilitary forces to terrorize communities, neighborhoods and social movements opposing US client regimes. The SOT’s ‘counter-terrorism’ is terrorism in reverse, focusing on socio-political groups between US proxies and the armed resistance.

McChrystal’s SOT targeted local and national insurgent leaders in Iraq, Afghanistan and Pakistan through commando raids and air strikes. During the last 5 years of the Bush-Cheney-Rumsfeld period the SOT were deeply implicated in the torture of political prisoners and suspects. McChrystal was a special favorite of Rumsfeld and Cheney because he was in charge of the ‘direct action’ forces of the ‘Special Missions Units. ‘Direct Action’ operative are the death-squads and torturers and their only engagement with the local population is to terrorize, and not to propagandize. They engage in ‘propaganda of the dead’, assassinating local leaders to ‘teach’ the locals to obey and submit to the occupation. Obama’s appointment of McChrystal as head reflects a grave new military escalation of his Afghanistan war in the face of the advance of the resistance throughout the country.

The deteriorating position of the US is manifest in the tightening circle around all the roads leading in and out of Afghanistan’s capital, Kabul as well as the expansion of Taliban control and influence throughout the Pakistan-Afghanistan border. Obama’s inability to recruit new NATO reinforcements means that the White House’s only chance to advance its military driven empire is to escalate the number of US troops and to increase the kill ratio among any and all suspected civilians in territories controlled by the Afghan armed resistance.

The White House and the Pentagon claim that the appointment of McChrystal was due to the ‘complexities’ of the situation on the ground and the need for a ‘change in strategy’. ‘Complexity’ is a euphemism for the increased mass opposition to the US, complicating traditional carpet ‘bombing and military sweep’ operations. The new strategy practiced by McChrystal involves large scale, long term ‘special operations’ to devastate and kill the local social networks and community leaders, which provide the support system for the armed resistance.

Obama’s decision to prevent the release of scores of photographs documenting the torture of prisoners by US troops and ‘interrogators’ (especially under command of the ‘Special Forces’), is directly related to his appointment of McChrystal whose ‘SOT’ forces were highly implicated in widespread torture in Iraq. Equally important, under McChrystal’s command the DELTA, SEAL and Special Operations Teams will have a bigger role in the new ‘counter-insurgency strategy’. Obama’s claim that the publication of these photographs will adversely affect the ‘troops’ has a particular meaning: The graphic exposure of McChrystal’s modus operandi for the past 5 years under President Bush will undermine his effectiveness in carrying out the same operations under Obama.

Obama’s decision to re-start the secret ‘military tribunals’ of foreign political prisoners, held at the Guantanamo prison camp, is not merely a replay of the Bush-Cheney policies, which Obama had condemned and vowed to eliminate during his presidential campaign, but part of his larger policy of militarization and coincides with his approval of the major secret police surveillance operations conducted against US citizens.

Putting McChrystal in charge of the expanded Afghanistan-Pakistan military operations means putting a notorious practitioner of military terrorism – the torture and assassination of opponents to US policy – at the center of US foreign policy. Obama’s quantitative and qualitative expansion of the US war in South Asia means massive numbers of refugees fleeing the destruction of their farms, homes and villages; tens of thousands of civilian deaths, and eradication of entire communities. All of this will be committed by the Obama Administraton in the quest to ‘empty the lake (displace entire populations) to catch the fish (armed insurgents and activists)’.

Obama’s restoration of all of the most notorious Bush Era policies and the appointment of Bush’s most brutal commander is based on his total embrace of the ideology of military-driven empire building. Once one believes (as Obama does) that US power and expansion are based on military conquests and counter-insurgency, all other ideological, diplomatic, moral and economic considerations will be subordinated to militarism. By focusing all resources on successful military conquest, scant attention is paid to the costs borne by the people targeted for conquest or to the US treasury and domestic American economy. This has been clear from the start: In the midst of a major recession/depression with millions of Americans losing their employment and homes, President Obama increased the military budget by 4% - taking it beyond $800 billion dollars.

Obama’s embrace of militarism is obvious from his decision to expand the Afghan war despite NATO’s refusal to commit any more combat troops. It is obvious in his appointment of the most hard-line and notorious Special Forces General from the Bush-Cheney era to head the military command in subduing Afghanistan and the frontier areas of Pakistan.

It is just as George Orwell described in Animal Farm: The Democratic Pigs are now pursuing the same brutal, military policies of their predecessors, the Republican Porkers, only now it is in the name of the people and peace. Orwell might paraphrase the policy of President Barack Obama, as ‘Bigger and bloodier wars equal peace and justice’.

You know, it's some kind of poetic that we have this swine flu thing going on right now, don't you think? Well, I do. It's driven me nuts that I so often want to use pig images for capitalism, for police brutality, for Republicans and now Democrats too, and for the inhumanity and incompetence that result from their porcine ways. It's to the point where I feel it's becoming completely unfair to pigs, who are notorious eaters and create a lot of environmental damage and can be horrifically mean, but they also have the Darwinian sort of excuse under which humans are not supposed to be still laboring.

And, Homie-banoo sent me this link to a conversation with Ray McGovern, where he's allowed to drone on for just over an hour and a half, and it's pertinent. The one sterling point, out of, of course, the many that he made, that sticks out for me because we so need to be reminded of it, is that if we let Obama fail to prosecute for war crimes and torture and wiretapping and the whole bit, we do in fact authorize all present and future presidents to have their own private Gestapo.

Is that okay with you?

on the question of fudd's hit squad

Flo is wanting to revive this line of inquiry, and so am I. I was going to copy out the source code for Fetzer's piece on the matter from an extremely irritating site, but this guy beat me to it. Funny how it's always Fetzer with the moxie to come out with work on the heinous crimes of our government... but I suppose it would follow from everything he's learned in his years of scholarship in the matter of JFK's assassination. I think he screwed up in a big way on the 9/11 stuff, but not in his determination to get something more closely approximating actuality than the witless fairy-tale that has permeated our entire society. So maybe you want to scan what he has to say about Fudd's killings.

Tarpley once postulated that the perpetrators of 9/11 weren't anyone in the White House, but that Fudd would have been taking the orders and executing them, rather than *, who was just a blithering figurehead, but that all of them were merely doing as they were told. You'll pardon me if this theory of his is making even more sense to me now, and if I believe there is no reason on earth to think the hit squad is out of business....

far more charitably disposed toward obama than i am

But he said something here a lot more straightforwardly than he did in Syria Calling, so mayhap Obummer's people weren't outright lying about having a hand in cutting the Gaza extermination short... only maybe. If so, Israel's return on their investment has been enormous. I, personally, can't hang with them being allowed to continue ruining everyone's lives in exchange for voluntarily stopping a slaughter. The whole point is: Obama could force them into a far more pacific posture in the world, and all it would cost him is their concerted effort to turn him into unelectable for a second term. How many lives is that worth? What's the calculus for that? Of course, I'm sure also they would prefer Biden were president and they easily could go all out to assassinate Obama. That would be worth more lives to avoid, but, again, what's the math?

What is the math for turning America against people who exterminate babies remorselessly?

you gotta hear this!

[click image, mp3, almost two hours, but you can skip through some of the introduction malarkey]

Much has been made about some of what Hersh says in this Great Conversations series at Minnesota University with Walter Mondale last night, but you have to hear the whole thing. It will blow your mind.
